Grade 9s planting trees

Today the Grade 9s participated in a tree planting project lead by Lisa Perde and the Tembele ecological service team, this project is in collaboration with Foundations For Farming and the Science department, There were 248 spekboom trees planted, these trees have many characteristics and benefits which include; they have the ability to absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide, has fresh leaves that store water allowing it to thrive in desert conditions.
