HISTORY

The school was established in Polokwane in 1994/95 by a group of Christian families and the current vision leader, Mr Mac van den Berg and his wife Elsa.

The school started in the house of Herkie and Corin Sandenberg in Burger street, Polokwane. The teachers had FCE training with Neels de Jager to equip them for Christ Centred education.

Eagle’s Nest was one of the first multicultural schools in Polokwane.

Challenges were: Finances, water, electricity, transport and rezoning.

After a lot of prayer, the rezoning was endorsed by the office of Pres. Mandela.

The school moved to the new premises which God provided. It is situated in the savanna bushveld area amongst thorn trees with a beautiful view overlooking the Wolkberg mountains where eagles fly. Here learners grow close to God in the beautiful natural surroundings.

Eagle’s Nest started with 7 temporary classes that we received as a gift. Over the years the school grew with one or two Grades every year and now consists of a Preschool, Primary and High school with 44 classes.

Our Grade 12 Results are always on a very high standard.
