Intermediate phase learners proudly represented Eagles Nest at the Limpopo district qualifiers at Pietersburg Laerskool on the 30th of July. We were able to send 4 teams, two teams in each of the under-11 and under-13 categories. We were sad to see a low turnout of our Under 13 players, yet the learners who were present put up a great fight. The under 13 B team and the under 11 A team both gained an overall fourth place in their respective categories, while the under 11 B team took an overall second position for their category. We are proud of our players and congratulate them on their wonderful achievements.
We have also continued to participate at the Capricorn district tournament this term, where each player builds their own rating. The Limpopo team was announced at the last event held at Northern Academy on 27 August. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tumelo for holding the 12th position in Limpopo Province for the under-12 age group. This means that he is the first reserve for the provincial team. Well done Tumelo!
